ICONEA - Archaeomusicology

ICONEA (International Council of Near Eastern Archaeomusicology) was founded in 2007 by archaeomusicologist Richard Dumbrill and British Museum Assyriologist Irving Finkel, to foster pluridisciplinarity into Near and Middle Eastern Archaeomusicology research. ICONEA joined the IMR in 2010 and is affiliated to the Sorbonne University, to NEMO-Online and to other academic institutions. Lacanian psychoanalysis researcher Bruno de Florence is ICONEA Deputy Director.
