The Medieval Song Network is a research group which unites international scholars with broad interests in medieval song from literary, musical, historical, linguistic, palaeographical amd other fields. The Network aims to create a focus for all kinds of research on the medieval lyric and its manuscript sources. Funding from the AHRC in 2010 and 2011 enabled participants from the UK and overseas to attend two workshops and a linked performance event, to share knowledge and to develop future collaborative research plans. The network is led by Professor Ardis Butterfield and Dr Helen Deeming.
