South Asia Music and Dance Forum
The South Asia Music and Dance Forum provides a platform for the dissemination and discussion of current research on the extensive and varied music and dance traditions of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan and Bhutan, as well as their diasporas). Co-organised by Richard Widdess (SOAS), Anna Morcom (RHUL) and Katherine Schofield (KCL), the Forum meets twice a year at the IMR.
Programme and abstracts can be found here for Embodied Creativity and Improvisation in Hindustani Music, and here for Labour, Livelihood and Culture: Crafts and Music in the Middle East and South and Central Asia.
